Eastern Townships

The Eastern Townships are shaped by a confluence of English, American, and French-Canadian traditions across a rich agricultural landscape, producing a built environment that is eclectic and layered. We have deep personal ties to the region, and that familiarity informs how we work here. Our projects engage these rural building types closely, drawing on their spatial logics as much as their materials and forms. Existing typologies are reinterpreted rather than reproduced, their organizational principles redirected toward contemporary programs and ways of living. Local craftspeople and contractors have been essential collaborators, their knowledge of stone, wood, and place informing each project.
