Virgin Vineyard House Receives Special Mention at the 2023 Architizer A+Awards

Virgin Vineyard House has received a Special Mention at the 2023 Architizer A+Awards. The project is located in North Hatley, Quebec, and was recognized through Architizer’s international awards program celebrating built and conceptual work across architecture and design disciplines.

The Architizer A+Awards highlight projects selected through a combination of jury and public recognition, with categories that span residential, cultural, and landscape-driven work. The project page describes Virgin Vineyard House as a linear residence set within a vineyard landscape, structured to respond to its long site conditions and framed views across the terrain. The house is positioned to engage directly with the working agricultural context and its seasonal transformations.

The project develops a long, continuous architectural form that organizes living spaces in relation to the vineyard’s geometry and topography. Rather than separating house and landscape, the design integrates both through siting and proportion, allowing the rhythms of cultivation, light, and seasonal change to shape the experience of inhabitation.
