Divisare Features Virgin Vineyard House
Virgin Vineyard House was featured on Divisare as part of the platform’s international archive of contemporary architectural projects. Located in North Hatley in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, the residence is presented through a detailed photographic and drawing set documenting the project’s relationship to the vineyard landscape and surrounding rural context.
The feature highlights the project’s long linear organization and its response to the topography of the site overlooking Lake Massawippi. Through plans, sections, and exterior views, the publication emphasizes how the house draws from regional agricultural precedents, including stone retaining walls, elongated farm structures, and sheltered outdoor spaces embedded within the terrain.
The project is structured around a continuous stone wall that anchors the building to the hillside while organizing a sequence of rotated interior spaces beneath a folded roof form. The feature situates the house within LAMAS’ broader interest in rural architecture, material continuity, and the reinterpretation of vernacular building traditions through contemporary spatial and environmental strategies.
