IQD Features LAMAS’ Research on AI-Generated Facades

LAMAS’ research on AI-generated facade systems, Delirious Facades, was featured by IQD (Italian Quality Design) in 2019 as part of its editorial coverage of emerging architectural experimentation. The feature highlights the studio’s work exploring computational image-making as a method for generating and transforming architectural façade conditions.

The IQD feature situates the project within a broader interest in how digital tools and artificial intelligence are reshaping architectural representation. It focuses on the translation of urban façade imagery into experimental design material, where existing architectural surfaces are reinterpreted through algorithmic processes to produce new visual and spatial logics.

The research reflects an ongoing investigation into how architectural identity can be constructed through image, data, and transformation rather than fixed formal rules, positioning the façade as a site of continuous variation and reconfiguration.
